She has done her schooling from Carmel School Hazaribag. She is a 1st class 1st in Chemistry Honours from St Columba’s College Hazaribag. While doing her Masters in Chemistry from Ranchi University, she competed the Civil Services. She joined the Indian P&T Accounts and Finance Services Gr A, in 1985 and has worked in various important posts in Government of India like Director, Deputy Director General etc. She has worked in MTNL and BSNL as General Manager and Principal General Manager. She was the Director Finance on the Board of BBNL and Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited and retired from HECL in September 2022. She has more than 37 years of work experience. She is an MBA Finance from National Institute of Financial Management, Faridabad. During her long service period she has felt the disparity and the lack of opportunities for the poor. It was in response to the urge of bringing in similar opportunities for this section of the people, that led her and her husband Shri Pradeep Panda to conceptualize and give shape to this foundation.
