aims and objectives

Rajrappa Charitable Foundation one of the ngos in jharkhand has been formed with the aim to aid the overall educational development of children of deprived households specially in the rural and backward areas. Most of the children in the villages of Jharkhand are not able to afford private schooling. They generally get enrolled in government run schools and anganwadis. The student teacher ratio is very adverse and the individual level of attention that they get in school is meagre. Further their parents are not able to teach them because they themselves are illiterate or semi-literate. Rajrappa Charitable Foundation aims to fill up this void. It is working towards providing basic knowledge of literacy and numeracy to small children and individual attention, tutoring and mentoring of older students, free of cost.

Further, Rajrappa Charitable Foundation has taken up the work of skilling young men and women of poor households so that they may become productive and are able to get jobs, become self employed, arrest migration of labour, be meaningful citizens, contributing to the society leading to socio economic growth. It holds career counselling sessions at villages to broaden the horizons of the youth to the prospect of the various job avenues and the means to equip themselves to attain those jobs. The youth of the villages are generally ignorant of the various prospects of training available, and the foundation would be able to connect these youths to the relevant institutions imparting these training. In this respect the foundation is setting up vocational centres depending upon the need and demand of a particular course of training in the area. It also aims to provide aid/scholarship to some of the meritorious students enrolling in other vocational centers.

Environmental education and conservation are important areas where the foundation is planning to pitch in. Jharkhand is mostly forests which need to be conserved. The idea of conservation and clean environment needs to be inculcated early in the minds of young people. This would form a part of the curriculum of the children with hands-on practical training like tree planting, cleanliness drives etc. The foundation takes up environmental work and awareness programmes with the cooperation and involvement of the locals in and around the areas near Rajrappa and other places.

Rajrappa Charitable Foundation  undertakes health camps and spreads awareness regarding health and hygiene among the village population. We also  work in close coordination with the various village women self-help groups to aid and develop local arts, artifacts and businesses. It also plans to do the other miscellaneous works as listed in objects clause.
